DUBAI. Rock ‘n roll jam with the 1990’s famous bands is so amazing! It feels like a big reunion, flashing back the old days. You can usually watch them performing when invited as a guest or promoting the album on a television show. Songs are not as easy as today to search and download from the internet. Tune in to your radio station and wait for your favorite songs if you don't have the money to buy their album recorded on cassette tape during that time.
Dubbed as Pinoy Tunog Kalye 2015, performing bands' line-up includes Siakol, Yano, The Dawn, The Youth, Grin Department and Wolfgang. Will there be something cooler than this? Yes, there is... If you’ve got a free concert ticket! Luckily I won a ticket from a contest sponsored by a Filipino Radio Station in UAE. We missed Yano and The Youth as we came late.

Grin Department.
Who will not remember the songs “Iskin”, “Miss U”, or “Buy One, Take One”? The youth of that generation where I am part of will never forget the naughty double meaning lyrics of their songs. Notable lyrics such as "A shampoo day…a shampoo day! May libre kang tooth….paste…toothpaste! May libre kang tooth…brush…toothbrush!” or the famous December song "Simbang Gabi".
The Dawn.
Two of my favorite songs of this rock band is “Salamat” and "Iisang Bangka" and they didn’t frustrate me with the electrifying performance of the lead vocalist Jett Pangan. Watch the performance below.
Siakol.
Pinoy rock band was on its high that pushed the interest of many in our school, including me to learn how to play the guitar. Thanks to their songs’ easy chords that became the favorite piece to learn. I remember the song "Bakit ba?" with only four (4) chords pattern (G - Em - C - D) that you only need to repeat for the entire song.

Wolfgang.
This is my personal favorite. You can compare Basti Artadi to the foreign frontman like Kurt Cobain of Nirvana. His timbre is so different from the local bands even on live performances. I wasn't able to take a video of their performance, I prefer to watch and enjoy the live performance than taking a video and watch later.

I'm sure Kabayans in UAE had a great time and delighted by the band's performances.
